Our teachers are all highly trained and experienced to create curriculum that is up to date and tailored to the age group they teach. Each staff member is current on CPR and First Aid trainings, as well as staying up to date with today's trends through ongoing professional development.
The Buttonwood Preschool staff all share the common traits of love and kindness. From the first comforting face your child sees to the smile at the end of the day, our staff will make them feel like they are at their second home.
We understand and embrace that no two children are alike. As such, our program offers education experiences by tapping into the four modalities that promote learning. Activities are designed around stimulating the visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic modalities. One of the most important things we can do as educators is to reach all of our students. By presenting our material in different ways we appeal to all students as each one understands and learns in different ways.
It is the philosophy of our preschool that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration, and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive and this program strives to nurture these qualities in each student.
Our purpose is to provide a safe, wholesome environment based on developmentally appropriate guidelines and solid growth and development knowledge, thereby encouraging the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of each child.
Hope, NJ is a beautiful and historical hometown. One of the local legends includes the impressive Buttonwood tree located near the center of town. It is said that under this tree, Gen. George Washington made camp and slept, while passing through this area during the Revolutionary War.
We are located at
St. John United Methodist Church
in Hope, NJ. While our school is privately owned and not affiliated with the church itself, we have a strong relationship with the church community.
